Tracing Lines, Making Marks
Tracing Lines, Making Marks offered visitors to the Away Day event in Wandle Park, South London in May 2010 an alternative interaction with the park.
A map offered five walks, journeys of discovery, through the park. These journeys traced lines implied by the park's layout and design, but diverging from regular paths taken through the park. The walks were marked in physical space by a series of ephemeral waymarkers placed at points along the routes. The map was accompanied by a printed booklet that mapped the history of the park at points of intersection with the walks.
