Mapping Conversations: The Crystal Palace

Mapping Conversations: The Crystal Palace (detail)
Mapping Conversations: The Crystal Palace was part of the London Festival of Architecture event, Interventions of Memory: The Crystal Palace Reappears which took place at Hyde Park on 21 and 22 June 2008.

Mapping Conversations: The Crystal Palace was the outcome of a series of conversations with a number of individuals with an interest in The Crystal Palace - it's history, legacy and contemporary context. The conversations were held during May and June 2008.

The Crystal Palace, and the site of Crystal Palace Park in South London, have become a subject and location around which the lives of multiple people over the period from 1851 to the present have become inter-connected.

The conversations were led by the interests and stories of the individuals involved. When brought together they build a multi-faceted story of the Palace and its legacy.
